VoidsTaking on void properties with a tight timescale to hand back to the client can be very difficult to ensure all your separate trades work well and to timescales set out without bumping into each other on site. We pride ourselves with meticulously planning all aspects of works to be undertaken and our Contracts Managers on these projects oversee each trade and the procurement and delivery of materials in a timely manner.
This particular case study was for a void property in Hackney. A 2 bedroom flat on the second floor of a small block of flats with no lift access and limited parking to contend with.
We completed a full electrical rewire , including smoke and heat detectors being installed and NICEIC test certification alongside a full rip out of an old boiler system and heating to install a full new central heating system powered by a new Worcester combi boiler. Scaffold was needed to brick up the old external flue hole and seal in the new flue. We also needed to re-glaze one window and add window restrictors and window locks on all old sash windows, as well as a full kitchen rip out, design and kitchen install.
The whole property was reskimmed and full decoration throughout. All existing flooring was removed and new vinyl flooring installed and sealed. A new mortice deadlock was installed to the front entrance door.
Our trades that were involved in the project included: Electricians, plumbers, gas safe heating engineer, scaffolders, vinyl floor layer, painters and decorators, window fitter, carpenter, and finally our cleaners.
